Just got laid off due to COVID as an 1 YOE analyst with a generalist sales pipeline support/BA support background. Ready to hit the ground running. What certs should I go after to beef up resume? I’ve heard AWS, Salesforce or Scrum can be helpful. Thanks in advance - trying to make ends meet here so I’m highly motivated and any advice is really helpful. I also have some money saved up for training, but want to spend wisely.

I don’t know anything about sales—but GL. I got laid off from KPMG on 16 October and just accepted an offer to start a corporate job in December for an 18% raise. There are definitely jobs out there for people like you who have skills.

I was in strategy at KPMG. Feel free to PM about the industry—I don’t want to say publicly here on the forum.

Sorry homie.

My suggestion is Cloud or bust.

Resume question I've had three positions over my career one of which lasted 3 months and that I got fired from, the job search took an additional 2 months. Is it worth it to leave the 3 month stint off my resume? It might be easier to explain getting fired then a 5-month gap I was thinking

Starting us off with an important tip: Your resume is a marketing document, not an autobiography. It should include relevant jobs, responsibilities, and perhaps most importantly, achievements. Where you can quantify an accomplishment or just talk up a major project you led at work or in an internship, do so. The point is to make the hiring manager think, “Wow, I need to talk to this person! They seem like a good fit!”

13 yr outside Sales Experience in the B2B space, multiple roles/companies. Current quota is $15MCAD, I usually do not bad in quota but lately has shifted to rewarding medicorciy and "pooling" some numbers countrywide which i really dont like.
Current comp is $85k Base and $115 OTE with a ceiling of $150k CAD/$120k US. Feel it's too little for my experience and they are taking perks away by the day.
Thinking of moving to I tech sales? Anyone else do it? What's comp look like?

Looking for some advice as I am considering relocating to US. How difficult is for HR professionals to get a work visa? I think from what I read I qualify under eb3 (no master yet) or h1b. How do for do about looking for positions that sponsor your visa? I'm in the defense sector and have previously healthcare and financial services experience. Also worked in global matrix organisations with US teams so know the culture quite well. Any help is greatly appreciated.
