I feel I burned out. I do not feel as motivated as I used to be. Has anyone come across such time? If so, how did you overcome it? I’m on a fast truck in terms of promotion.
I’m in industry and need to do an RFP for a multi year tech build for my organization - essentially separating infra and business tech from our parent company post ipo - shared service to standalone. Already had a big 4 in to opine on strategy but need to do the RFP for an implementation partner basically from scratch. Any good resources for drafting an RFP? Boss wants me to do the first draft and I’ve never done one before. I only have a word template from our procurement team.
I am a second year manager on a possible promotion path to SM in 2021. Just got an acceptance email from an executive MBA program (in the top 10 list in the US) that I had applied for on a complete whim and got through. Do you think it’s a good proposition, considering my career trajectory within the company? Looking for some perspective.
Is social media important for big 4/ consulting firms at all? Any employee advocacy work around that?
Got a 3% raise with a 70% realization rate. I’m surprised I got a raise at all. It was a rough year for me with being exposed to many new tax issues.
How do you deal with people who steal your credits? I’m up for promotion this year, working with this person that shamelessly take my work (with no change) and walk through with partner without me...
PwC folks - have you heard your promotion news yet? It’s said the “promotion day” is 6/19 this year. Wondering when I should hear the yes/ no news? Up for manager this year. Thanks!
Left consulting for industry for a large raise and promise of several projects to work on. New co is not as advertised, extremely disorganized and most people go home at 4pm. Do I stay a full year?
Received feedback that I’m not enough of a hardass (google it) with colleagues and clients and that’s going to hinder a promotion. Can I get ahead in consulting being collaborative and approachable?
Hey there, I have two years of experience as an Associate at PwC, worked on projects as a Scrum Master, TOM projects, thought leadership for the AWM industry and digital banking industry. Looking to make a change and specialise. Been looking at internal consulting gigs at banks, other big 4, and tech companies but still unsure of what to pursue next. Any advice ?
How does cert reimbursement work at different big 4 firm? Is it a mandate to expense it after passing it or doesn’t matter?
What’s a typical raise percentage for EY TAS S&O practice for a promotion year vs non-promotion year?
With the partner threads going around, what do partners on here thinks makes someone a good candidate to make partner at their firm? I feel out of place in accounting. I’m very extroverted and love building relationships. I’m slightly above average for being technically savvy in tax, but not extraordinary. How difficult is it to be a direct admit partner to a smaller firm than a Big 4 firm?
Anyone from GS here that I can ask a quick question about an M&A job posting? Not looking for interview help / referral / etc.
Pre-Q I loved hitting the client site and walking the halls. 8 wks later, I’m quite happy wfh, and would love it if companies offered it indefinitely (or, at least much more frequently) Anyone else?
Hello Deloitte 🐟, After three rounds of interview, recruiter wants to have a call with partner as a final round. What is the intervw with a partner like ? What is the role of a partner in Deloitte. I am interviewing for specialist master role for cyber security. What is the ask for compensation for this position at D and what is the signing bonus and target bonus like ? 7YOE and 135k TC
I’m a recent college hire and my Manager on my project has delegated a lot of work to me that I feel like an experienced senior associate or even an M should be doing. She walks me through everything I need to do but has said she wants me to be the person our project team go to even if that means I go back to her for support. Is this her way of teaching me or am I being take advantaged?
Any Accenture fish (or anyone) willing to throw a referral? See a role or two I’m somewhat interested in :)
Quitting Deloitte this week. What investment apps should I get now that I’m not tied by independence? All I have right now is my 401k vanguard and fidelity mutual funds. Is acorn good?
Does anyone’s company let you take your PTO without it affecting your performance metrics? Tired of this Deloitte nonsense
I recently received an offer at a boutique consulting firm and am unsure of how to go about the negotiation process. I have 1YOE and was originally interviewing for an Associate role but they are bumping me to Staff instead. Offer is for 70k + EOY bonuses. I'm not bank on those though. Nothing is guaranteed and they could easily go away in this climate. I make 50k right now and the Glassdoor page at my employer reflects that. Glassdoor range for the new job is 69k-76k. I know we are living in the COVID Era and things may be different but as a self-taught designer that’s been employed for the last 8 years here in the city, I’d like to be able to make myself attractive to the advertising world. I usually operate on the fringes of the design community and I don’t know all the cool kids (outside of interning at 3st). What can I do besides have a great portfolio?
Been on the bench for two weeks, but no projects in sight. I couldn't sleep last night because I was stressing about them cleaning house and getting rid of everyone on the bench. Crazy or realistic?
TFW you’ve been asking your boss for a promotion for months and told you’re qualified but there’s a financial freeze preventing it but then you get an agency wide email saying THEY got promoted 🖕😵🖕
