Just received an offer for 95k base as a staff analyst at EY. Currently in industry (finance) my TC last year was just under 100k.

It’s a good offer. You should always negotiate. If 95K is the starting point, ask for 98K and 5K signing bonus. The answer may be no to the 98K but negotiating is expected.
Was only able to get sign on bonus
I’m in CMS - working here for for 5 yrs. 95k is solid for a Staff - I’ve seen higher, but only for a gunslinger w/ specific experience on relevant tools.
I can confirm that’s significantly higher than campus hires. DM me and let’s connect once you’re on board. I’m running several projects and have several more in the pipe.
Much appreciated! Will do.
That’s pretty high for staff
Cyber Managed services. Pretty much ongoing engagements with clients, blend of traditional outsourcing with consulting
It looks like you already accepted the offer because of your name?
Thanks for the insight. I definitely plan on bringing up the potential promotion to senior!
95K as a staff and complaining 🤣🤣🤣🥴
Most seniors with 2-3 years experience don’t even make 95K. EY for staff is chill unless cause stress on yourself
If you are coming to EY for more WLB.. run lol
Rising Star
What practice? And yes, definitely ask for a signing bonus
Niche team in the consulting arm, cyber managed services
OP, in case you’re less familiar with consulting roles, Analyst/Staff is a pre-consultant role filled mostly by campus hires coming in with no skills. I would say they are generally in the 60-80k range depending on firm.
You’re in a weird position as a highly skilled specialist coming into a managed services track, but you’re definitely being overpaid relative to your role. I think that’s probably a good place to be, and you’ll likely get good bumps at your promotion to consultant or equivalent (I forget EYs terminology, maybe goes to Sr Staff).
Does your offer say staff 1 or staff 2, if 2 you could make senior next year which will bump you again. Then 2-3 years at senior and 2-6 years at manager
EY is not known for high pay. So if 💰is your top priority, then I suggest go somewhere else.
Ask for more, projects are dying for talent and understaffed
What group? This is very high. Seniors in most practices don't even make that.
