EY1, no offense, but bc someone holds my expense items (sometimes large travel expenses) for an absurd amount of time, I’m responsible for paying due to EY’s inefficiencies? Ummm, no. I’m an associate - I don’t have that kind of cash flow.
45 days?!? Firm didn’t pay on time?!? It looks like lack of responsibility from OP for not doing his/her expenses timely. And worse, $20?!? You do t have $20 dollars to pay your bills on time? I’m sorry but you deserve this late fee.
Yes- if you have a good payment history they will typically waive it.
They'll waive it if you call but seriously... Just pay and be responsible...
I know, I know. Y’all are right, I should’ve just paid it. Appreciate the advice
It’s a credit card and they charge late fees when you don’t pay on time. The card is in your name and you are responsible for making timely payments, even if you are delayed in getting reimbursed by the firm.
Why didn’t you pay the $20 on time? You can call AmEx and plead your case and they might waive the late fee once.
They will reverse it. I complain that they don't allow auto pay.
