Well team morale can be measured as an OKR actually…the top consulting firms do that constantly to check on the teams. They just don’t do much about it
That's a good point. What people call soft skills can mean a lot. But in some ways I'm troubled by even charactering being a decent person as a skill. I mean, encouraging someone, or just checking in on how they're doing, is a pretty low bar. I shouldn't think people should have to work hard to send a thoughtful Slack message, but that does seem to be the case all too often.
Conversation Starter
The workplace has become overly non-personal. People try to appear hyper-professional and saying something nice like "I hope you are doing OK, you don't seem like your regular self?" Is considered unprofessional in some way.
