Why did you plan on a promotion less than a year into your current job? Did they promise it was an option and likely if you hit xyZ targets? I'd honestly be irritated with someone I hired making that assumption on their own and then making it a big deal that it didn't happen.

I didn't know about the cut-off period. I was told by both my recruiter and counselor that I had a good shot of getting promoted. I even completed a performance assessment and was later told it would not be reviewed.
That looks like I said 112 months. I didn’t. 112 months feels longer
I meant which practice within EY Advisory. But yes, if you have other offers and would like to stay with EY, I would have that discussion with your partner.
Oh I left early because I was miserable and was not learning.

Ask to go for it at mid-year.
If you actually left a prominent consulting firm for EY you would've gotten the promotion with your offer. No one from a "prominent" firm would take an offer near their promotion without a corresponding promotion offer at EY. I've only seen this happen when people come in from lower boutiques or industry
