Say you’re an Assurance Senior 3 and want to transfer soon as you hit Manager back to your hometown office. Should you secure the manager promotion at your current office first or go ahead and initiate the transfer at S3? I’m scared that they won’t accept me over their current S3s and so I think the safer bet is to make manager first then transfer. Deloitte EY PwC
Also, how desperate are firms for Managers these days? I know seniors and staff are in demand but I rarely hear about Managers.

Yes, a person can handle it, but not long term. I’d say you would burn out after 2-3 months doing that much solo work everyday.

Partner - delete 3/4 of slides and spell check
Director - draw out what the slides should look like
Manager - make associates change slides, add some colors and design
Senior - make slides faster
Associate - make slides

If it's reliably 12 hours (not 12ish hours wondering when the day will end) it's sustainable if unpleasant. This assumes short days on Friday and weekends fully clear.

Yes. I enjoy days manipulation and analysis. If I can dedicate a large chunk of time to it and ignore more ambiguous problems, my stress levels are much lower.
