Is it SAFE joining Wipro as technical lead (B3) with 37LPA? Knowing that package is pretty high as compared to collogues in same band. HR is not ready to give project manager(C1) position.
Appreciate your suggestions/input.
Would there be any scope of increment going forward?

I recently interviewed with MITRE for a systems engineering role to make the move from Leidos where I feel underpaid for the work I do and for my experience ($85K). I have 4 YOE, a STEM degree, and soon will have a Masters Degree. I’m looking to make around $120K in the new role at Mitre. Does anyone have any insight into comp there? This would be in the DC metro area. Does $120K seem reasonable or am I dreaming?

Help Desk was at $26 per hour in pasadena ca. Took the job because I was getting back into working again.. it was low for help desk with already 4 yrs exp in the military. Could be a good entry gig for someone out of high school or college without experience.
Left that job because I ended up overworking and doing everyone else’s job even the network admin’s job and sr help desk job. I was getting paid the least but literally carrying the IT team on my back, there was no room for promotion into an IT manager position even though that was already what I was doing, rewriting the whole department’s operational continuity binder and closing all tickets.
there wasnt an IT manager it was just direct IT director and they needed a manager because IT director was useless. It was bad. Anyways, for my exp and output results I match more with $35-$40 per hour and I am getting offers but I am picky now haha because Im looking for a job that cares about their tech’s career progression and is willing to fire people that sabotage’s the team’s efficiency. 🤷🏻♀️
Currently I am looking for the right fit, so if your company is in socal, and need a star teamplayer, let me know 😁.

It's great a lot of you make good money. Those getting paid 200k+ for engineering roles who jumped around every 3 years, and their companies, are the cause of all those other folks being laid off and where it's difficult to find a job. (Even if "cost of living" in those cities is higher than elsewhere.) Hopefully the world starts correcting itself, looking forward to a tax hike on all the higher paid folks.
