Why you’re interested in working for that specific company, why are you leaving public accounting, why fund accounting. These are questions that you should have a good answer for. Be prepared to talk about your work experience that directly relates to the role. I wouldn’t expect many behavioral questions, if any. Will be much more focused on your experience and them assessing whether you’re a good fit for the team.
But you should also take time to interview them and understand their culture, who will you be reporting to and what’s their background, what is their teaching style, etc. Depending on the size of the firm, you may only report to one other person, and that person has a lot of control over your work life so it’s important to find someone that you’d enjoy working with.
I always thought fit and general experience are considered behavioral interview questions? Definitely need to refine my “why fund accounting”
How large is the fund / team as a whole?
^ this is awesome, only thing to add is in my experience the smaller the team the more culture/behavior will fit
