Probably the antithesis of this bowl - but need some advice. This is for a house in a Southern metro. Had an epiphany recently.

Why do I work so much?

It’s because I have little family and few, if any, friends. Had a rough childhood. My way of making an impression on others has always been through work.

By working, I do something I’m good at and makes people appreciate me, while covering for my loneliness and feeling of inferiority. It’s sort of the only thing holding me afloat.

When I’m probably never going to have friends or a family of my own, becoming partner is the next best thing.
