I kinda think that’s already high so I’d say take the 70 and run. I’m in FL too
Or, if you get an offer from the other companies with higher ranges, just take that job. Pushing for a higher salary is good, but will likely impact future raises if you’re already at the top of your range at the lower-range company.
If this is your second job out of school, I’ll offer a small piece of advice: don’t assume you are going to get the job. In fact, act as if you aren’t going to get the job… fill out applications at the other places you mentioned with higher salaries for the same role, find other openings for similar roles, etc.
If you get an offer from this first company, whether at $60k or $70k or somewhere in between, then start to consider your negotiations. You told the recruiter your minimum, but make sure you have a minimum in mind for yourself too, plus what else there is to bring into the discussion (would you walk away from $60k if you didn’t have anything else lined up? could you negotiate for a sign-on bonus instead of a higher salary? what do benefits look like? a 100% company-paid health plan can be worth $10k in some cases - it is worth looking at the whole picture)
70k for a coordinator in FL is tha 💣. Don’t be greedy.

I mean, I think you should have had the right number when you asked in the first place. 10k more is a good push, I don't know whats the going rate.
how much do you think I should have asked for? now i make 40k, so the jump already seems like a LOT to me. doesn’t mean i won’t try to push it if i can, though.
Just went through this. Most companies are basing remote jobs off of the cost of living where you are located. I’m also in Tampa. Personally I think 70 with 2 yrs experience is very high. (But great job negotiating btw.) You’re also still very young in age and in your career so you have a lot of time to get a higher salary. I would def accept at 70 tbh.
No matter what the going rate is on Glassdoor or where ever you look, you have to take in account that the top salary is for places like NY or Cali, so if they’re already going above that for Florida.. they could be giving you at or above the salary for other HCOL regions. That could be their max for the role.
Is there a reason why you need more money or are you just testing the limits?
I would say you are in a very good situation. You’ve already been offered 10k over what they told you the maximum was. Also you are very early in your career and that is a great salary. Don’t forget the higher the number, sometimes the less likely for any near future raises.
I’m 8+ years in making $75k. I think 70k is super solid. I believe when I was 21/22 I was making $38k lol.
