Looking for advice on my move. What would you pick out of these options?

Location 1 (Asia): X net salary, 90% savings rate, no WLB
Location 2 (Middle East): 1.8X net salary, 60% savings rate, no WLB
Location 3 (Australia): X net salary, 50% savings rate, consistent WLB

Leaning towards 3 but feeling that I am leaving so much money on the table.

Where in Asia? Take Asia and transfer over to a European office after 2-3 years or US after

ME/Aus are pretty boring places to live

like

It depends on where I am with my life. If I just graduated college and love the grind then Option 1, (If Singapore, Great country and people). If I am married looking to build a family then Option 3.

like

How do you just casually make that move? I wish I had that ability lol

like

What firm is this? When I was at a global B4 firm it was extremely hard to transfer haha

3 and it’s not even remotely close. 50% savings and consistent WLB sounds like a dream.

Asia and ME will open more doors and give you richer (professional and personal) experience — accelerate you further than Australia. Asia in particular is an exciting place to work, let alone travel and live. Assuming you’re living someplace comfortable (eg Singapore), would recommend giving that a go for a year at least.

Australia

You are a SBA so I'm going to assume you're young. Sydney/Melbourne sounds nice in theory but can get boring very quickly. Singapore gives you access to SEA - think Bali and Thailand on the weekends...Dubai is a no from me, not now, not ever.

You might also want to factor in the focus sectors of each office; for e.g., you might lean more to a certain office if they do a lot of projects in an industry that you're keen and excited about.

Set up a weighted decision matrix and see which office scores the highest based on the weighting that you give your chosen variables

Okay okay I have to ask…do you know that Asia isn’t a country?

You’re asking us to chose between 48 countries, 21 countries, and Australia

Does where you get your masters degree matter? I’m in an online environmental science masters program at an expensive “name-brand” school, but have colleagues telling me I should transfer to a less expensive program to save $ because no one cares about where your degree is from. Aside from the cost of it, I like my program, and the fact that I’m now connected to an incredible alumni network. And not gonna lie, I like the clout. Thoughts?

I interviewed with a company last week and the interviewer said he would submit my notes to the hiring manager and I would hear back this Monday from HR on next steps/if they want to move forward. I didn’t hear back yesterday so I emailed HR and she said she wasn’t part of the hiring decision so would reach out to the initial interviewer for his feedback. I haven’t heard from her and it’s been 24 hours - starting to get worried. What should I do? Does this mean they’re not interested?

M/SM and above, why do you label a meeting as “touch point” or ask if you can have a “quick chat” when it’s something serious? But at my new job, my boss asked for a “quick chat” to literally ask me to change the title of a meeting and then chat about christmas. Now that I’m in management, I want to understand it better.
