Boston Consulting Group
What will the project dynamics be on a project staffed with 3mdps, a PL, and myself, a summer UG intern? Just got staffed and will be hearing more on Monday from the team, but it came across as an interesting staffing composition.
Have the feeling I'll be making quite a few slides as the only junior. Anyone staffed on a similar case composition?
Anyone with recent experience recruiting for Boston Consulting Group? Got in touch with a recruiter through referral, was directed to submit an application and already finished my pymetrics. Anyone know when I would be able to hear back and what the hiring timeline looks like? Recruiter suggested to get back in a few weeks but isn’t it too slow? McKinsey sent me an invite for 1st interview in a few days after they received my referral.

Not flawless but comfortable enough to where I could effectively pivot if I made a mistake
Thank you for sharing!
Not flawless no, since the sheer number of types of cases is too great to truly master (once you notice the eternal “Other/unique” case category is essentially endless).
Practiced enough to be proficient, tested myself 3x with current/former MBB who used to interview. Once they were comfortable, then I was too, and I started with Round 1.
Full prep lasted 3 weeks, 21 cases (inc. 3 with MBB currents/formers), and then moved to Bain & BCG R1s.
If you need more to feel comfortable, so be it, but do make sure you’ll be ok if/when a curveball comes your way. I had two peculiar cases (one for a weird industry and one for a different business problem) in my actual interviews.
Flawless is absolutely impossible, I am certain I could case you and throw you off easily. What Interviewers care about and what I aimed for is how well you develope through the case and your capability to realize your mistakes throughout as well as adapt in case you make them.
We are not looking for robots but people its fun and engaging to solve issues with
You should be very very comfortable with all aspects of the case interview

Flawless doesn’t exist. But you should be able to perform well regardless of the day and circumstance. A big part of the prep is knowing when to pivot/how to recover.
What is the role? Curious because I am too interviewing for a specialist role
I’m interviewing for a specialist role right now too, what are you using to prep for cases?
CaseCoach has a great library for all different types of cases!
I am flawless, so yes
