Does anyone feel like going into internal audit has pigeonholed them in IA? Trying to decide to leave public for IA but I would like the option to go back to an accounting role if I want.

I recently made the switch to a fully remote Sr IA role. As a new hire, my manager asked me to come up with some measurable and quantifiable performance goals for the next 6 months, as well as a stretch goal. Does anyone have any suggestions? I appreciate the help.

I want to make sure where I go I have good opportunities to advance and if needed be marketable to other companies. Fellow introverts...can I only advance in my career if I take on a leadership role? The thought of this terrifies me. I sent my resume in PDF to the headhunter. He put it in Word, reformatted the sections, changed some languages, sent it back to me for my review. Then he set up a call with me to go through all possible questions I may be asked in the interview, and give me sample answers. Now I’m confused

Currently a C at Deloitte making 89k, up for promotion to SC. Spoke to my PPMD and was offered a 20k retention bonus and they mentioned I’d be getting double digit bonus once promoted.

Need opinions on whether I should stay or leave Deloitte?
