Looking for guidance... I am a 2nd year staff about to be senior with 2 busy seasons behind me. I have been assigned nothing but first year clients since I entered public, and have had pretty bad managers both busy seasons. I've specialized in derivatives accounting for the last year, and I am thinking about my exit to industry. Anyone have any suggestions what sort of roles I should look at, or if I should stick it out a full year as a senior?

So after two weeks of waiting (and giving up on the idea of getting the job really), the recruiter got back to me.

They said due to month-end and quarter-end close they were busy and couldn’t get back to me as quickly for a “good update”.

The recruiter said the CFO enjoyed our call, she, the CFO, will call me next week directly to “discuss some final things”.

Not sure if Im hired or not, but are there any questions about the job, comp (cont.)

I’m not from an English speaking country but I am watching a tv show and businessmen walk into a room and instead of greeting eachother, everyone says each person’s first name in lieu of hi, however in my experience working in the states, I haven’t seen anyone do this, it’s always hi or good afternoon or some other greeting first THEN they say their first name. is it also appropriate to omit the greeting?
