Cleared Accenture Skill interview by answering almost all the questions and received congratulatory mail for HR round and submitting all documents. Then after a week received a call from HR saying that due to some technical issue, the skills round will happen again and an online assessment was set up. In the assessment, questions which were not directly related to the profile were asked and then a rejection mail was received. Does this happen a lot?
A BCG recruiter ghosted me after she reached out to schedule an interview. How long should I wait before following up? What is the common courtesy to give to ppl at BCG. I don’t wanna come off as too aggressive but I really need to get this interview set as there are other pending confirmations Boston Consulting Group

A panel and now a presentation? Seems like a heavy lift for an account manager role.
I agree. And the offered salary was 👎🏽
Not necessarily a red flag. More like they've narrowed their options to two choices and can't decide, so they're adding an extra step as a tie-breaker. Put your A game on and knock their socks off!
I’ve had to do this a few times. It kinda sucks, especially if you weren’t planning on it. But, if you really want the role, see it as an opportunity to showcase your presentation skills. Have fun with it. Good luck!
I don’t think it’s a red flag. I’ve had to do presentations before as part of the process. Chances are you and the other candidate(s) are pretty close. My guess is a higher up or someone who hasn’t given their input yet said something about wanting to see who can present the best as a view of client-facing test to see who has poise, etc. Just ask for guidelines on topic, is it best practices, are you selling a fake campaign, how long should it be, etc. Probably will do a PPT or Keynote. If you’re really interested in this job, go for it and do your best.
I've been in a similar situation where I was asked to prepare a presentation after what seemed like the final round of interviews. While it initially caught me off guard, I saw it as an opportunity to showcase my skills and enthusiasm for the role, so I embraced the challenge.
Not necessarily, but I'm always wary of these types of deals b/c sometimes you end up doing free work for a company and then don't get hired.
Sometimes presentation skills are the deal breaker. If you want the role and love presenting...you'll be a great fit!
As a hiring manager, I’ll say that the risk in finding the right candidate (especially post-pandemic/gig economy) is greater than ever. I won’t hire without a presentation in an account role. Increasingly par for the course from this point forward.
Red flag
This additional step could be a part of their standard hiring process or a way for the team to gather more specific information about your skills and abilities. I would take it as a good sign.
Nothing to be alarmed about. It happens. A bit more for Sr. roles though. Think of this as a dry-run to gauge how you'll handle clients /meetings /presentations. Go in with confidence and be personable. You're almost there. Good luck.
