Looking to shift from consulting to product mgmt/strategy. Have 5+ years in program and project management, implementation and ocm work at current firm. Do have 1 yr experience at tech startup in early stages of product dev. Any advice on resumes, types of roles to look at or recommendations I would appreciate as a starting point!

Hey folks, need some help. I cleared all my interview rounds and had completed the documentation too. However for more than two weeks the status on the portal is "offer initiated". The HR says the delay is happening because the people who need to approve are on leave. Are they playing around or keeping on hold? Do they actually release offer after this much delay? Please share if you know anything about it.

Does anyone have any advice on how to shift from a specialist (paid advertising) to a more strategic (in digital marketing) role? I've been job searching for a couple of weeks and would love to be considered for roles outside paid advertising but it seems to be extra challenging this time of the year.

I feel like every company lies about “working your way up.” You’re never allowed to blatantly say that you don’t like your position and you’d like to transition to HR or Finance. It’s almost as if once you get in claims, you’re stuck.

If you’re a manager and you see an employee that wants to branch out into a different department, why would you keep them boxed in for 2+ years?

YoE 12.5, cctc 10.5 and holding offers till 23.5 fixed and few more in pipeline, expecting till 27 with 40 days left in np. This company wants me to develop a growth strategy that outlines key initiatives for growth, different opportunities, experiments I’d run, KPIs, and working cross-functionally.

I work at a ‘free market’ firm and have developed a very good reputation among partners. Naturally, they are drowning me in work. Each time a new case comes up, the partner will email asking if I have “time and interest” in helping. When I’m at capacity, I take these words at face value and explain why I can’t do it, and that seems to work out ok with no hard feelings. But what’s the “interest” thing? If I don’t want to work on a toxic tort case, do I just say that and pass?

Is it ok to tell your boss/job that you're looking to transition to product, and tell recruiters you're looking for roles in product before you've quit your other job? Or should I wait until I get an offer before telling anyone. I don't want to lose my job or disappoint my boss but product is where I want to end up and I'm working towards that.
