Read the Wall Street Journal every day. Look at the business news and look at it through the lens of, “what will the impact of what’s happening in this article be outside of what stated in the article”. For example, X company makes a deal with Y company to integrate a specific aspect of X company’s business, ask yourself “what impact do this have in the business environment and for competitors?”

That’s a fantastic recommendation, thank you

How would you approach moving back into industry after a long career break?

A successful senior software engineering career (15 years+), I took a significant amount of time out due to burnout and caring responsibilities.

Seven years on, my situation has improved, and the industry has progressed. Remote first companies are numerous, and I’m keen to move back into software development.

I would love to hear a recruiter's perspective on this situation.

Bombed an interview today with a boutique advisory firm. Been an IT Auditor for the last six years, and whilst I don't necessarily hate the work, the firm and people aren't great. Keen on moving to 1st or 2nd line of defence roles but it's one rejection after the other.

Anyone got good success stories help to cheer me up?

Which role offers the best exit options? All the offers from US support teams of the companies.
OS role offers better than the other two (only slightly), but I am interested in a good profile

I’d like input!

I am currently a charge nurse and am in a “Pathway to Leadership Program” that will come with promotions into leadership/administration. I am concerned that going through the leadership ladder will lead to a lot of politics.

I am thinking of getting a masters of healthcare informatics, and would love input from people in both industries and any advice you have!

Would you continue into the nursing leadership ladder or go into health informatics (which also has leadership!)?
