Do companies typically provide child care stipend for employees with kids? Day care is quite expensive

How do people go about creating investment accounts for their children (between 3 and 7 years of age)?

For context: I’m not from the US and neither are my siblings; however, I have some nephews and nieces (still very young) that were born here (kids from my brothers).

Some day they’re going to end up here and I was thinking my brothers could just dump say $1000 a year in an index fund for each kid but I’m not exactly sure how that would work.

About to enter my third trimester and might be getting vaccinated today. Am very nervous and going back and forth about it. If I don’t go it’s very likely I won’t have another chance until after the baby. I have antibodies from about a year ago but am unsure how long those will last. Any pregnant moms gotten the vaccine? I’m truly stuck and scared the make the wrong decision long term for my baby.

What would you say is the best level (if there is one) to have a first baby? I’m currently a Manager trying to determine if I want to get to SM before having a baby. While SM would bring in more money, I’m also worried about juggling it all as a new SM and new baby.

I was recently laid off and am entertaining a couple of contract positions. Are contract positions protected by FMLA if I were to get pregnant? I assume not..? I’m feeling very frustrated at this whole process. My partner and I want to start our family in the next 2 years or so which makes this job search process even harder because I want my job to be protected. I also want to be paid for my leave.. but that’s a whole other thing
