I’d base it off how much you want to do an MBA, but keep in mind you’ll have a huge comp bump if you stay at McK long enough to make EM (about 2 years, TC closer to 300k)
Take Mck no brainer! Better Brand, Faster Comp progression and exit options
No one will care about MBA once you get to EM & above at Mck. Nothing better than practical experience Mck > MBA
Longer term, McK will do a lot more for you than Deloitte. seems like an easy decision to me
the qualitative difference is such that I wouldn't even look too much into the financial difference of how much more Deloitte is offering
Yeah, another vote for mck. Deloitte pays a pittance more on the hopes that 1 in 100 will actually go for it. Don’t be that guy.
Congratulations!

Take McK
Had the same choice as you and picked McK. Admittedly the choice was easier for me because McK offered sponsorship and higher pay and D did not. However I have enjoyed the experience at McKinsey much more and I suspect you will too if you went through the trouble of interviewing.
Don’t be too tied to the sponsorship aspect though. Are you really going to come back to D post-MBA and stay for 2+ years? I did the math on it one time and there’s an extremely narrow band of scenarios where it makes sense to come back to D and they all involve exiting immediately after sponsorship vesting and even then it’s a big if. Just do your MBA and pivot to where you want to go instead of staying where you don’t want to be for a far away carrot.
Had the same choice, with BCG. Take it - seriously a career game changer and much more interesting work / interesting and smart people. Have looked back once even though I “lost” little over a year of tenure
Which mba? Are you set on getting it?
M7, yes set on getting it despite the financial hit (education / network / resume / good times)
