Citi - SVP Salary Expectations for Tech / Controls
Looking at some SVP roles for technology / controls in the Southwest region. Glassdoor indicates $185-240k as range base comp, and target of $185-205k for average base. Is that accurate?
Glassdoor also targets $40k for variable comp. average. Is that accurate?

I’m not sure anyone is looking to him for inspiration on how to run a business at the moment.

Right? Stephen King told him to go eff himself and he went from $20 to $8. Such bigly negotiation skills & buy in from people. Also, anyone can now have a blue check mark for the low price of $8 a month. It *was* special and exclusive & now it’s like Netflix’s ad tier.
Why do we care what Elon is doing? He isn’t the King.

Are you suggesting Elon is a workplace trendsetter for big 4?
We can barely keep people around until senior in audit. Why would would we make the job less attractive?
Elon is a clown and one tech Company doesn’t have a lot to do with Big 4
Why would Big 4 follow? The overwhelming majority of consulting projects aren’t staffed regionally. You think our firms are going to 180 and start re-leasing floor space to fill them with people whose project teams are in 5 different cities?
In general consulting firms as a whole are going to be in trouble convincing younger generations that the career is worth it. To mandate office attendance would be a huge own goal and not in our interest whatsoever
Why would they follow now when he's already doing that at his other companies. Plus some of the big4 were remote before the pandemic. Doesn't make a whole lotta sense
Yea Twitter isn’t the only company he’s the CEO of. This was a dumb take.
"many will follow"
Have you not been paying attention this past year...lol? A lot of companies (including bigger ones) have been pushing RTO by either doing hybrid or transitioning full-time back into the office. New offers at certain companies are now focused on being hybrid and not remote. And as others have mentioned, Elon pushed for full-time RTO for Tesla many months ago.
Unless we get stuck in another pandemic, the majority of the companies will be pushing or even requiring RTO in 2023/2024.

There are enough public accounting firms that will offer remote work that will take employees that want remote. In addition, you can start your own business and me remote with an accounting background, so I’m not too worried.
Ok KPMG
Only big 4 this would affect is the Twitter Engagement team
