Non NY- M1,MC, non-mba (have one but not recruited in through grad school), 140k, 5k bonus, rated tier 2. Salary didn't change with promotion from SA3, and bonus last year as a tier 3 was 5k.... So basically I got promoted with nothing. Nada. No difference. What's point of promotion?
I have to admit for non-pwc peeps, this thread is hugely entertaining.
Yes P20. Seven years in industry. I really should have negotiated better.
I have noticed the following: S& folks come from marginally better schools but not always. Also, not to be racist, but S& is mostly white. This may have to do with its roots in the federal practice. PwC advisory is overwhelmingly south asian, with a lot of Jewish people whose parents may have been with the accounting side of the firm in prior years but kids are doing Advisory. Just a sociological observation.
P1, not sure you are right in saying S& is mostly white. Certainly, not a lot of Hispanic / African American representation. However, we used to call Booz "the Indian consulate". And a lot of immigrants. In my vertical less than half the partners are white. The rest are mostly Indian and a few Europeans.
Hmm. Maybe b/c haven't spent enough time in the S& building. You could be right.
Also, he way we recruit now is that top 5/6 b schools are S& exclusive and the rest of top 10 are shared schools. S& doesn't recruit outside of that top 10 but might accept resumes and eventually interview and hire some folks.
^why bring in race to to every conversation? 🙄
Not racist but am a minority. Like hires like. It is the way the world works.
Okay
No, what I meant was, outside the firm people don't know just how well Strategy& pays. Spent some time around peeps from top 5 schools, and no one even mentioned s& a single time.
@p1 google top consulting pay and S& is usually up there at the top. S& only recruits from top east coast schools. All my colleagues are from top mbas
.
So, I'm T1, NYC, SA1 and I got a 5% bonus. Am I getting fucked or what?
Salary details please. Then I will up vote you.
What is T1?
Do you know who is performing?
Seems like the difference between various A's is minimal.
What's SA2? How many years of experience (if you started off your career in consulting)
Usually 3 years can get you to SA2 with good performance
How does that compare with EY?
3 years to SA2 is def not accurate in most groups. In mine the norm is promo to SA after 3 years.
