Been working on mostly (about 70%) public sector policy and strategy at Big 4 for most of my career. Often go up against MBB on RFPs and have a decent win rate. Would I be too senior to come in as a lateral hire? I guess it’s all about client networks at this level, and being government, it’s locationally dependent - so which markets have need?

I am currently a civil engineer thinking of switching to software engineering. I got my masters in water resource engineering where I was coding a decent amount for assignments and it has really stuck with me. Hello! just got an offer from Amazon for Global Product Marketing Manager for PAE (payments).
TC: $223k for 1st year (156k base, $64k sign on for 1st year and $50k for second year, with 46 shares - vesting 5% on 1st year anniversary, 15% on 2nd year and 20% every 6months on 3rd and 4th year).
I understand this is a L6 role and would like to understand where I am in the total comp range (from a %) and what is the max this role and level and pay (given that I understand next salary jump to L7. Tx!
