Base salary: 60k
Quarterly quota (per quarter): 107k
Quarterly bonus (per annum): 23k
130% Annual bonus = 11.5k
"23% commission on quota minus base": 37k (don't understand this)
"Proposed 23% commission on 150% quota minus base": 86.5k
Sales commission threshold per month: 22k
OTE: 122k
Cost/Sales: 28%

That base salary is lower than my previous base by a significant amount by 32.7%

Looking for advice... 5 months ago I went from Higher Education (HE) Law Firm. I was so excited to move on and was offered about $16K more in my salary.

Today I find myself not excited about my current job and since the firm is much smaller than my last job in HE I feel like there is less growth opportunities. Every day I want to message my old manager about coming back but my wife doesn't think I should primarily because of the stress I went through. Tbh I miss the stress and workload (cont.)

Hey folks, A person who is more experienced than our team members showing unnecessary interest in some work related to project and torturing us who is 2/3 yrs less experienced than that person. Pros and cons of taking a class year cut? Partner sees my potential and that there’s an actual evolution but I’m not there yet in terms of experience compared to my peers so he told me to at least consider a class year cut. Is that a nice way to tell me we are not happy with your work product might kick you out of you don’t improve ? Or am I being paranoid here?

I am a mid level and have received an offer from a regional big law firm in a non-market paying location. I believe the firm would be a great fit and the location is where I want to be. The biggest issue is money. I’d be lateraling from full cravath in a major market and the initial offer I received is a bit off that (read: 50% salary reduction). While the market is cheaper in some respects, housing is not. How far can I expect this firm to go to in terms of compensation? Any negotiation tips?
