What inspired you to join this industry?
Hi,
In tcs my joining date is passed still not received onboarding link.
Is it normal there because been 4 days delay still they are not giving any update.
It’s kinda hectic to call every time to recruiter and get back with the same answer like work in process.
Should I even expect the joining date?
Let me know if anyone faced that kind of situation before. Tata Consultancy even onboarding manger is not giving Reply’s to my. Mails
They asked for all documents for releasing offer letter. After uploading that, they sent BGV links which was completed way back in April. Now its June, still i am waiting for Offer Letter. Recruiter not receiving calls! Ghosted by the firm or these things happen at the firm regularly? Wipro

I have recently joined EY SaT group as senior consultant recently in Netherlands. I’m tripple masters in MS economics, MBA and MS business analytics. Have 4 YOE in different industries but no M&A experience specifically. Any ideas what company should be offering me? I’ll be working as expert on commercial due diligence, FDD and valuation teams and doing automation alongside. is it wise to demand higher salary or promotion soon after I have proven that I can work and do it better than most?EY

Switch to consulting. Make bank
The top firms (tech, consultancies, etc.) don't send recruiters to every school. Some teams within firms only recruit from a handful of schools. The schools from which they actively recruit (e.g., send recruiters, host social networking events) are called "target schools." For consultancies hiring MBAs, the number of target schools has grown in recent years, to probably around 20 schools. I don't recall seeing LSU on any of the top firms' lists, but it may be a target for a subset of consultancies.
I made my best friends during my MBA and I use those friendships on a daily basis. Worth every penny.
Top 3 reasons for an MBA:
1. External validation
2. Internal validation
3. Career switch
What each factor solves:
External validation: I know I'm really good at this, but others (companies) don't believe it.
Internal validation: I don't know if I'm good enough, or have the right skills to do this.
Career switch: I've been great at X, and others can see it, but I need to translate it to Y.
1. Learning how to think about business problems using frameworks or past case studies have been helpful
2. Took classes on improving presentations, both I. PowerPoint and audio/visual presence. I went from being super scared in front of crowds to having my PowerPoints and presenting be my top skills
3. More than doubled my salary
No that was my salary before the mba. Just google mba salaries consulting or mba salaries ibanking to see where you’d land in on. You also need to be in a T15 program
Mine is in a frame,
I have no idea where my Bachelors or HighSchool Diploma are at 🤣🤣🤣

To get into consulting
What company?
I’m in sales - it hasn’t done anything for me in terms of flashing it around… but my general understanding of business vs my peers has provided me with a greater success rate for sales and a higher average job size. No one looks at it from an education standpoint, but I’m able to have different conversations with the C suite / business roles and I believe part of that was first due to my further study of business than those around me. As time went on, my exposure to deals (working more and at higher levels) added more value than the mba education itself, but early on, it set me on a different path.
Made me eligible for a promotion to first an engineering supervisor and now manager. Definitely worth the ROI!
Fasten my career by switching to consulting

Still trying to figure that one out; I did transition into a new role and I did make about $50k in a jump in salary, but for some reason I was hoping for more a career boost
Shoot me a dm then
I tripled my salary in the three years post graduating. I’ve used what I learned with my MBA to be super valuable and irreplaceable in my organization. It translates to job security and rapid career growth. My breadth of knowledge, ability to connect dots, and be a good leader are skills I wouldn’t have learned so quickly through experience as I did through my education.
$7.25 * 3 is $21.75 so at least that much.
Getting my MBA opened up a promotion opportunity to management
