I have 2 offers, one from JPMC ( LOB IS Consumer and Community Banking) and the other from Wells Fargo. Both are giving similar roles, and exactly same pay. Location is Hyderabad. I tried for revision of pay but it didn't work.
Could anyone help me understand which one is better to join in terms of hikes, technology used and work life balance. I have to join on Tuesday, 16 Aug.

Hello Verizon fellows, In Deloitte, there's a facility to claim a certain reimbursement for purchasing mobile devices through their portal or something. Similarly, do VDSI employees have any discounts or reimbursement for purchasing devices through Verizon? If so, kindly let me know how to check it out. Thanks in advance.

The question is: do you want to be a consultant, sales engineer, or technical program manager?
If you value money now, the highest paying offer. If you value financial upside potential, the startup. If you value WLB, probably EBay. If you value brand name, probably McKinsey.
If none of that matters or is a wash, pick the one where you respect your direct manager the most.
Uber or McKinsey. If it’s a unicorn who is only giving you 15k that negates the upside of being pre-IPO
Forgot to mention that’s in options
How do you manage to get all offers and make them wait? it blows my mind, last two times I switched companies I never can get more than two offers at the same time.

Yeah given the landscape nowadays, this may be a pipedream.

+1 Uber or McKinsey with a little more preference for McKinsey
I’m surprised that Mckinsey isn’t able to match what some of the big 4 is offering. They’re augmenting the 1st yr with the sign on but yr 2 that goes away . Haven’t explored it since i told them id let them know when ready - but just after first convo with recruiter - it’s somewhere around 230k base/bonus. A couple of the sweat shops were throwing 280-300k around but of course I never explored it. Learning opps are important to me but $ is also important.
Mck1 are you sure people don’t get new Adderall prescriptions or up their coffee intake x5?
The intensity of deliverables being turned over or the amount of meetings? From my understanding there’s typically one big deliverable at the end of the 2-3 month study, no?
Uber. The value of MBB is the generalist track. Specialist roles across MBB are an afterthought. Definitely not worth taking a pay cut.
I think you’re getting the expert and specialist paths mixed up which is common so maybe this is an issue if people outside the firm can’t tell the difference.
Apparently there is a knowledge expert path which is a bit different than the traditional expert path.
The expert path leads to partner and works on the same projects as generalists.

Uber for sure eight
Program Managers are just meta project managers - joyless stuff. McKinsey - maybe the opportunity cost of prestige is an accelerated exit from tech.
Maximize for autonomy and freedom and optimize for the other points people are mentioning.
SWE might be good. Unicorn startups tend to be very fun. You would make PM in 1-3 years.

All Remote wherever I want
What area of tech do you work in currently? I want to exit into tech companies as a Technical Program Manager, would love to hear your interview experience. Mind if I DM you?
What’s the expected trajectory for Uber? At Mckinsey you will probably hit 280k 2-3 in as an expert(EM equivalent).
Uber is ic5
Uber. 3/4ths of your options are exiting consulting, so it looks like you really want to exit but explored McKinsey just for the name. 2-3 years from now, when you're looking for a new job, 2-3 years at Uber or eBay will be more valuable than the few years elsewhere.
Do startup if not on a visa, if need more stability take McK or eBay
For quality of life I’d recommend eBay
Uber
