When it comes to therapy do I look up a place online and make an appointment or do I need some sort of referral? Not sure if I need to see a therapist or physiatrist really.

I was fairly diligent last week, billed 60h, met all my deadlines and obtained positive feedback on my work. Girlfriend has very obvious high functioning anxiety and body image issues that she admits but thinks she doesn’t need therapy or medication and that reading self-help books will help her. It’s not changing in the last several years and it’s impacting our relationship. Anyone have experience with their SO dealing with untreated anxiety? I have received an offer from a company and I'm in the second stage of interviews with another company. I am very interested to see if I could make it through for the second company. So can I accept the offer from first company and then if second one also sends an offer then let the first company know I would like to reject? Also i am on H1B visa. Which practice group (m&a, capital markets, or funds) would be best for someone who genuinely doesn’t care about this job/law but wants to stay in biglaw (NYC) as long as possible? Some folks say m&a is more “intellectually stimulating” and I wonder, for that reason, perhaps capital markets might suit me? Currently scheduling “on sites” for a S&O role in CA. My referrer said they can hire as L5 or L6. Would like to land in the L6 bucket as I’ve heard 5 --> 6 is one of the more challenging promotions.

I’m looking for info on what the real difference is in responsibilities (manager vs IC, cross functional vs focused, etc) so I can focus on checking the L6 boxes during my interviews.
