Nope, I just checked and it says it’s available on your first day of employment. Maternity leave is 20 weeks and can be taken continuously or split into 2 periods of 18 weeks and 2 weeks. Just hast to be completed within 12 months of birth date. Paternity (parental leave) is 12 weeks

like

Yep it’s amazing and it’s paid for!

Nope! You qualify for leave from the first day, I took a short term disability leave for medical reasons just a few months into the role with no issue.

Honestly we have great resources at Microsoft, even when I came back from leave, HR helped me find further resources at Microsoft to support me and walked me through the accommodation process. They really care about their people here

My background is digital transformation however I took an infrastructure position to rebuild a provincial healthcare system. My boss also has me running a retired agents office until a new one is chosen (its an hour away with no pay increase or mileage pay). Also, no benefits! Should I start job searching?

Got a 30% salary bump, via an offer for Senior Consultant S&O from Deloitte. Currently underpaid at EY Advisory. I'm MBA and this year is my promotion year at EY for Manager. What to do? Get demoted and move to D? Or counter at EY? Even if EY matches my salary, and promote me to Manager, I will be an EY Manager with a Deloitte SC salary, and probably won't be able to go to D in the future. What do you think? I have built up a good relationship with my Partner and SMs at EY though.

Tough time getting past final step: I’ve been trying to make a career shift for 10 months now and continue to get rejected at the last step. Im confident in the value I can provide and do well at presenting it. However, once it’s comes down to me and 1-2 other candidates, I repeatedly have been turned down for the person who has more relevant experience as they’re a safer bet for the employer. Would love advice from anyone who’s dealt with this before. It’s tough to get them to take a risk on me
