Hi fishers! I have offer and signed contract with Deloitte UK and my start day is in the beginning of April. I need skilled worker visa, and we haven’t applied yet for that. Screening and onboarding is in progress. Immigration team doesn’t reply since reached me out 1st time. How much time does it usually needed to go through the whole process? How many days take for visa to be approved since application?Deloitte

Even if he were prone to do something questionable, it seems really odd that he would do it so visibly in front of so many people who know both of you.

Yes! Good point MHS
First, think about the comment. How "cozy" could he get in a public Christmas party? Was he late getting home or did he arrive about when you expected him to? Did Miss Mind Others' Business give you a name to go along with the allegation? Telling you to not think about it would be like telling you not to think about a purple horse with pink polka dots. See what I mean? Unless there are other indications that support this concern, your best course is to trust until given reason not to. What would you think if some nosy neighbor called you husband and said he thought he saw a strange car in the driveway the night of the party? You say there was no car in the driveway. How do you know there was any "cozying" at the party?
Just wants to cause a ruckus, do not respond to this information. Having a relationship with an admin causes resentment in the ranks. Being a nag on how he portrays positive relationships with staff will rub you the wrong way on you forever.
She’s trying to stir up the pot.
I also work with my husband. When we were younger and our relationship was new busybodies had all kinds of opinions for me. I think it is completely obnoxious that someone went out of their way to text you that. I would say they are not a real friend and do not have your back. If it is really bothering you you can share with your husband what was said but I would just let it go.
I’m almost wondering if we work at the same school because I know a coworker who would say this just to cause unnecessary drama.
Thank you all so much!! I think I'm going to mention it to him as like "I'm so annoyed by (her) because she said this thing and I feel so insulted and like WTF by her" and then I'm sure he'll respond in his usual supportive non-sketchy way and may try to avoid her a little more himself. And then obviously if he's SUPER WEIRD I'll think more about it.
Mention it off-handedly so he is aware that she is stirring up. She sounds incredibly insecure. He might have other information regarding this person that he can't share with you but this would add to his.

Love this
So who is this person? If she’s got a rep for being a nosy gossip, then ignore her. She’s not trustworthy.

That’s such nebulous wording. What the fuck does that mean? I’m a hugger and my husband knows it so he knows I hug male friends. I’d ignore it. Like already mentioned, it was an office Christmas party.
Even the left hand cannot trust the right hand. Nowadays things are different so be diligent. You have to make your own judgement. You know your husband better than anyone, but don’t let your guard down.
I’d have the “watch your back” or the “put your head on swivel” conversation with my husband because your frienemy and others could be attempting a coup of some sort. I’ve avoided after hours holiday gatherings for my entire 28 year career just so I wouldn’t be involved in any kind of issue; I have enough issues to deal with IN school during school hours 👁️👁️
