My ideal long term job is a litigation role where I do partner-level work but don’t have business development requirements or billable requirements over 1500 or so. I’m willing to take the pay cut that would accompany it (but not totally clear how much I could expect to make). Does this exist? Is this what Counsel means? What type of roles should I be looking for?

Hi comp advice please! my wife is making a pivot into brand management / account exec roles at ad agencies. Glassdoor is kinda helpful for comp estimates but all over the place. For an nyc role (just above entry level, like Brand Manager at BBDO) what’s a reasonable comp range for her to tell HR she’s looking for? Feels like $90-100k? Thanks for your thoughts/examples! I’m a third year interested in retooling from lit to general corp, but they prefer someone with 3+ years of corporate experience. For litgation we're thinking past pleadings and MTDS then X, Discovery than Y, SMJ motions then Z trial then Q.

What are your thoughts on this ? What are my issues here. I think the hardest one is to predict discovery. But I also think we can outsource some of this to cheeper labor and lean on our tech to not actually have to review everything.

I've been a government attorney for nearly three years now and have worked in the same office/division since I passed the bar. I've yet to receive a promotion other than two cost of living increases (in sum, a pay increase of 6k over 3 years). I know this is meager, but I'm mostly ok with it, I just want to see some recognition. On the other hand, it's hard for me to imagine negotiating because (given my inexperience), I don't feel I'd be able to do better anywhere else. Any advice?

I am first year and I got my written reviews today. A partner wrote that I need to be more detail oriented and cited a time I screwed something up for a production. I did screw something up but I owned up to it right away and did everything to fix the issue. It was also in my first few months of practice and I had never made a production before and I was the only associate on the case. How should I handle this during my annual review?
