I wouldn’t recommend confronting him… odds are it’ll just make him insecure and he’ll try to make your life miserable.
Move on and don’t confront. Leopards don’t change their spots.
just interview and leave. you can meet with him and document but it’s been my experience that it’s better to abort.
i’ve worked til midnight at a japanese bank for a thankless managers and i bolted after awhile and grabbed something from linked in since i didn’t wan to pay for cab’s every night with young kids too. it took awhile for me to reposition and you
might lose footing as it’s a bad environment bit nothing replaces character and peace of mine and self worth. i’m 64 yo and very relevant so trust me don’t be sabotaged by crappy manager or peers. move on and don’t look back you’ll feel better.
You can’t teach an old dog new tricks if he’s not willing to learn. Don’t burn a bridge by confronting, just go.
