My manager put me on a development plan which is approved by HR. According to my manager I did not meet her expectations and putting me on development plan will determine how much I improved. I feel like she's creating this plan to have backup and fire me. Ever since Covid I’ve started having trouble sleeping because I dream of attacks happening in various locations (weird I know). I’m normally *very* practical/pragmatic about that sort of thing, and I’m fine again once I wake up, so I’m pretty sure it’s just a reflection of feeling like I can’t control the situation as every time I can’t seem to stop my fiancé from dying no matter what I do :(

Their default diagnosis is cancer, and she does have a past history of colon cancer. Please keep her and my family in your prayers. After working 5+ years and letting life happen, I ended up back with a staff title (no career/group change). Everyone said I was doing well throughout my career. But most of peers are now managers, senior managers, directors, controllers, etc. I really don’t want to compare, but how do I deal with this so it doesn’t bother me? I got a very positive feedback overall & was hoping to get promoted this year.. I was told that my communication is good when one on one (I'm an introvert) but my voice lowers when I get receive pushback in a group setting (especially from Senior Management)..
