Currently making 125k salary with 10k bonus at essentially an assistant controller role. Client wants to hire me and is asking for my compensation range. What is the market rate for an assistant controller in a large private company? They are really really wanting to hire me and willing to pay a little more. They floated around 150k last time we spoke but is there potential to ask for more?

When I am looking at an email attachment in Outlook it shows the Google Chrome logo but when I open, it opens in Adobe which is what I want. Even though it is opening an Adobe, my boss would like it to show the Adobe icon instead of chrome next to the attachment… anyone know how to do this ?

The second project/client they tagged asking me to wrok on FTP L1 Monitoring and t-shoot.
Again this is not relevant to my exp(6 years in Network).

Has anyone left healthcare and is now really happy? I’m an MSN, RN with 12 years hospital experience. I’m burned out and tired of making crap pay. I have an opportunity outside of healthcare that would pay more and challenge me in new ways that I haven’t experienced before. It’s a total shift that would really heal my work-life balance, job satisfaction and budget. My only fear is that I would not be using the license and degree that I worked so hard for. Just got rejected by an opportunity that I was really excited for / aligned perfectly with my interests and skillset. Pretty bummed by it :( How do you all self-motivate after these kind of rejections?

How acceptable is it to customize role title on resume? As in, if its okay to say “Product Manager and Consultant” / “Product Management Consultant” vs official tittle of just Consultant? Consultant alone doesn’t say much and I’ve been designing web/mobile apps for a few years so the customization is apt, not BS.

Just got another rejection... Is exiting to FAANG or MB really this hard? Trying to go tech.. or mbb, but not getting anywhere. I have 2 masters (mba, ms) from top schools, been in consulting for over 10 years, I am confident that I know my stuff well..but still I keep getting rejected. Interviewed with Google, Amazon, Cisco, McKinsey, and a few others and every-time there is something that is not a match... are the hiring managers looking for like 100% match? That will never happen!!!

Does studying for top consulting firms’ case interviews help in any way for interviews with other firms (e.g., FAANG case interviews) ?

Have been approached for a "Transformation Officer" role at a PE held port co with high probability of getting it. Torn staying in consulting ( 1.5 year post MBA till now) or new role? Suggestions?
