Work in different rooms
If anything maybe trade off who uses the office since I’m sure it’s set up exactly how you’d like it to be.
I bought a house with walls. Great feature. Would recommend.
Stoppppp🤣🤣
Remove air from room
That’s what I call .... clearing the air 🥁
So many smarta**es here. Not everyone has the privilege to have their own office when living w their SO, clearly thats the case here. Look up noise canceling microphone headsets - plantronics has some cheap ones but there are many other options too.
C1 doesn’t understand how homes work.
Invest in a good headset that minimizes background noise and buy a white noise machine.
Agree. Was in same boat after, this method helped a lot.
Play white noise to reduce chances of your respective clients overhearing what the partner is exactly talking about . Won't decrease/eliminate sound but will help preserve confidentiality.
Look up call center white noise methods for more information.
Interesting approach. Thanks!
Maybe stop berating your clients? Also, go to a different room?
Get some higher quality mics / headsets and adjust the sensitivity of the input to reduce background noise

For everyone saying to get a house, my spouse and I live in a huge house but still the best scenario is us in the same room working across from one another. You can still coexist in the same room!
His calls don’t require video, so he exits the room when he has a call. Because I make more money and therefore am the queen of the office.
Yea but OP clearly doesn’t like sharing the space, hence the post
You could try a noise canceling room or desk divider (check out https://www.upliftdesk.com/3-panel-acoustic-room-divider-uplift-desk/ or https://www.upliftdesk.com/acoustic-privacy-panels-by-uplift-desk/) in addition to the white noise and headset recommendations above.
Or you could give up. My husband and I shared the office for a while but ultimately he moved his whole desk setup to our playroom. It’s a weird video background but he prefers it since he has more room and his own space.
Maybe try the Bose PinPoint software. I haven’t tried myself as I don’t need it, but looks interesting.
I just looked this up. Looks pretty amazing - hopefully it would work well in combination with the Bose 700 I just picked up. I’m only 29,698 in line... :/
Steal her clients so she has nobody to talk to
You can try Krisp (https://krisp.ai). It mutes background noise.
