Mid level Electrical Engineer in the greater Baltimore, MD area making $115k base w/ $20k sign on bonus. No yearly bonus. I started this job in April of this year. 2-3 years experience. When I onboarded they told me to expect promotion to EE III in about a year. Performance reviews coming at the end of the this year and I’m wondering 1) if my salary is on par with what I should expect 2) how to approach conversations about raises and promotion with my supervisor. I recently cleared all the rounds for a role in PwC SDC MC team (Bangalore). I mentioned my salary expectations and provided all the docs required. Salary negotiation is yet to be done.

1. How many days would the whole process take (post sharing of documents)?
2. I have my wedding in the last week for May for which I require min two weeks of leave. If I join somewhere around May 1st, would the management approve leave?
3. Could I ask the HR to postpone the joining to June?

When would taking a break between jobs get normalized in India. If one wants to take a break, he/she needs to figure out first how the gap would need to be explained to the next company.
"I took a break because I needed it for my mental health as the job can become quite stressful as the experience increases" should be an acceptable answer and the companies should stop low balling if a candidate is capable enough.
