Has anyone moved from Accenture Federal to CGI Federal at Manager/Senior Manager level? Looking at Strategy/Organizational Change Management roles, and curious to know if you feel that compensation and benefits were worth it when measured against your actual experience once you started working with CGI. (I understand that some of it depends on the account you're on, the team you have, etc., just trying to decide if it's worth considering.) Thanks!

Amazon always offers lower base. Are you getting good stock options? Also it's very easy to negotiate the stock options with them.

People don’t usually get fired. They take better exit opps or burn out.
You can always leave Amazon. It’ll most likely give you better options than current firm.
For that reason alone, take it
Rising Star
Base at Amazon is nearly always low, look at the total comp.
That being said, 100 is low, what COL, what level? You should be looking for more than 100 base with 5 YOE...
Rising Star
Not with another $100k on top of it...
Should you be comparing TC instead of just base ?
I am.
But also most west coast companies offer similar stock options, but with higher base
I'm at Amazon with 6YOE and I'm 150 base, 230TC.
If you don't mind, can you share your position?
Negotiate
100k base but what is the total comp? That seems like a low offer for any company, especially Amazon. Depending on how bad you want the job, I would counter by letting them know you are willing to make a lateral move. Make sure you articulate you skills, credentials, and master’s degree. They should come back higher.
It depends. If you give them an ultimatum and say I’m only willing to make a move at $120k, then be prepared for them to tell you no and the offer expires.
Thanks for your responses everyone!
TC is around 199k (base+stocks).
This position is based in Seattle

Ok so you’re asking if you should give up your TC of $120 for a TC of $200?
I mean.... that’s your answer yeah?
Rising Star
I’m at Amazon with 105 base and 5 YOE. Base is always low. I’m not in tech. That side of the house always has higher comp
Rising Star
Yeah with a shite ton of stock lmao
$120—> 200k @ Amazon
Come on. You know the answer.
Wouldn't have asked this question if it was as simple as a>b.
A: TC :120 | 120 base, 0 other
B: TC : 199 | 100 base, 99 other
Need advice, does it make sense to take an offer that’s 79k higher than my current role?
Rising Star
1-5% annual increase for Amazon base, but closer to 1-3%.
I would take it. See if you can negotiate more in RSUs, though.
