Interview the interviewer.
Asking good questions during an interview builds rapport with the hiring manager and gives you an opportunity to learn about the company from someone who’s there already.
The organization needs to fit YOU as much as you need to fit the org. Your questions should help you understand if the company aligns with your values and goals.

I’d highly recommend it. And even if after a time you’re not feeling Portland, WK is great about office transfers so there are always options.
I have a friend who’s been working there for over a year, and she lives on the East Coast. They fly her into Portland for big pitches/when it’s important to be in the office.
I have two OTHER friends who also work there and live In Portland. And they seem to adore it and are thriving in the office culture.
Seems like there are options.
Portland is cool. It’s a tiny city, though. Not as diverse as LA or NYC. But it’s a fun, quirky place. I can see how it can get a bit boring living there for an extended period of time.
Maybe they think they are bored, but it’s just mono?
I’ve been in Portland for two years and am trying to get out. It’s pretty pleasant BUT I can’t handle how it’s dark and rainy from mid October to end of June. It just doesn’t work for my system. Try it out though! A lot of people love it.
The W+K thing could do wonders for your career. But maybe you’re already working somewhere with a great reputation? Also, Portland can be great, but if you’re moving from NYC or LA or London, it’ll feel very, very small. Where are you now?
I love Portland. Amazing food and people are mad chill
I live in Portland. It’s awesome 😎
How does one get a job at W+K?
Reached out to a recruiter and kept following up. All about those connections.
As long as you go with an open mind and are willing to put yourself completely out there you’ll have the time of your life. Wouldn’t have changed it for the world.
Where do you live currently?
