Awesome, OP! Sounds like it was a good deal ☺️

Assuming you have a reason on why you wanted to leave (hence the offer) and comp wise, the external offer is still higher - I'd prolly go with the external offer. Only reason to stay is for the networks you've build, if you're still early in your career, this probably doesn't matter as much.

Honestly, I was just testing the waters. M1 here

likeupliftingsmart

What’s the offer? Role and company?

Hmm. So sounds like no intrinsic benefit to the new role itself? No increase in title or brand?

If that’s the case, I’d take the counter offer

like

Leave

Don’t deal in absolutes evaluate both and make the decision that’s best for you. Mentally have you already left D? If yes leave if no take the counter.

The money is about the same in both places. Pick the place with better future prospects

If you are moving just for the sake of money ? If yes, if the current employer offered you that, then I think you should stay. However, if the new employer is offering you much more interns of work, skill, etc!

Good offer, I will leave Deloitte. What is your skill set.

Getting good offers and making people believe I am great 😊

likesmartfunny

How many years of experience do you have? What's your primary skill?

9, strategy and operations

like

You should stay at D and refer me to that company 😂

You go to a where you want to work! What’s better long term?

Reposting for visibility*

I recently applied to the Content Designer, 2023 Graduate remote role at
Atlassian and I'd appreciate it if I could get a referral.
Here are some details to aid in your decision-making:

- Last summer, I worked at Google as a UX Content Design Intern.
- I am currently in a grad program at
NYU and will graduate in Spring 2023.
- Before graduate school, I spent 3+ years as a Copywriter in Advertising.

I'd really appreciate any recommendation I can get at this time.

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.
