I’m actually amazed so many people are steering you to slalom as a freshly matriculated college grad. I’d go with Accenture for a couple years to get the name brand and the polish that one of the larger firms will give you.
Slalom is where big 4+1 consultants go when they are tired of traveling. And I say this as someone who would love to work there one day. But definitely not at the beginning of my career
No shade on slalom whatsoever.
Federal
Slalom is a no brainer, don’t negotiate and manage your credit card spending

Feel free to ask but doubtful they'd give you a signing bonus at the AC level.
My market hates signing bonuses in general. As a P, I couldn't even negotiate anywhere near your ask.
I think that’s a fair ask
I think it’s worth asking, but in this situation you wanted the job in DC, so the relocation cost wouldn’t really be on them. They might just guide you to apply in ATL. Also, if it’s the DC office giving you the offer, that would be with the DC cost of living considered. That being said, (almost) always ask for more!
Thanks for your input. The job is with the Federal group, so there’s no option for me to be located out of Atlanta anyways. I’m leaning towards asking for 5K, but having no expectation.
From what I heard culture wise, pick Slalom all day.
I will say I moved from Atlanta to DC and was shocked how much more expensive it is. You’d honestly be able to live a better lifestyle in Atlanta than DC. With that being said I do like being in DC. It only cost me about 2 grand to move from Atlanta to DC but I’d start higher on the ask and be willing to come down.
Your offer at Slalom as an AC is very competitive and in the top quartile of AC salaries for DC.
Source: I'm in the DC office.
It’s worth asking the recruiter! I negotiated a signing and relo bonus when I joined
Seems like a fair ask. Worst case they reduce or say no.
The worst they can say is no
With that would personally leverage the slalom offer to get a higher offer at Accenture and leverage Accenture to get a higher slalom offer, then decide.
