What do you mean by “partners military orders”? Is you partner going to be on military leave?

Fiance's military orders, orders to move location every 3/4 years.

Have you looked into some initiative for military spouses? I know Deloitte has a big one. They provide resources for transferring offices and getting staffed on remote or internal work. It’s part of their veteran initiative work.

You could find local contracting work, depending on where you are headed.

I used to work at deloitte, would have to find my way back there but I didn't know about that program. Could be useful, thanks!

Headed towards Norfolk

Plenty of jobs down there with legit companies. Just start applying.

I'll have to check them out!

Have your partner ask around for contractors looking for resources, they are on the client side and would know where the work is.

OP, GT won't let you work remote?

Just landed a full time gig, looking to get some furniture so I’m not working on my parents’ kitchen table during this remote period. Any recommendations for desks and chairs? I’m hoping to find something that’s easy to assemble and break down for when I need to move, and something that won’t cost an arm and a leg.

I know everyone has a different kind of setup that works for them. I currently have a laptop, drawing pad, second monitor, and a desk riser.

I am only 4 months into being a surgical coordinator. I love the position itself however I am struggling to adapt into my new work environment. My position puts me in a place where I need to interact with my new coworkers but they are not as welcoming as I expected. There is also another surgical coordinator however I have come to find from other staff that there is a long history of her running other staff away and not fully training other surgical coordinator staff properly. Any suggestions?

Need career advice. Trying to break into a finance role, preferably an Analsyt role but I have no transferable experience. I worked as a mortgage loan officer (which is sales) for 2 years after college, but since mortgage is such a niche industry, no hard skills transfer and have no relevant undergrad internships unfortunately. I know I can essentially get any sales job I want in finance IE: financial advisor etc. but don’t want to be stuck in sales forever. Any advice?

Do Leidos, SAIC, and other mostly-fed consulting businesses pay bonuses to all levels? If so, what does a typical bonus target look like? Booz Allen does not pay bonuses until you get to the Senior Associate level (1 step below Director) and I think that impacts employee performance and work ethic pretty dramatically. I’m wondering if not paying bonuses is common to federal contracting because of how the contracts or priced, or if this is something unique to Booz Allen.
