Nervous I’m about to be locked by golden handcuffs..

Just got a offer for 150k + 10% bonus with 3.5 YOE in MCOL.

I wanted to move and job hop again 2-3 years from now but current job postings I’m seeing for 5-6 YOE of experience are also offering around 150K..

Will I be able to increase my pay significantly 2-3 years from now in technical accounting?

Dang what service line are you in? You probably could continue to get strong increases in salary but I don't think you'd double your salary in the same amount of time that you achieved what you're at.

That's crazy $$$ for the amount of exp you have.

Why do you think you’re going to be stuck? I don’t see golden handcuffs here, there isn’t any bonus that would be repaid if you left in a few years.

As others mentioned, if it’s a good opportunity and the money is solid then why not just take it and see how things play out in 2-3 years.

like

You're silly. You're just forgetting that worst case you can take a pay cut if you really want to move. If it's really so high that there's no way you can get more anywhere else, sounds like the best job on the market lol

I did the same research, and I have been told that I should jump now as another year won't make a difference. Not sure I agree. In public you work with many different clients. So if there is a sector you haven't worked in or you want to experience, you can request to be placed on that client.

Had a manager who was making a move after 10 years in public as a CFO. Not saying wait ten years, but that made a huge difference in the level he was brought in at!

Hello everyone. I am currently a HRIS call center rep. I assist clients with payroll, benefits, and platform questions daily. I am looking to move into a position more back office or even customer experience with less constant phone calls. I have over 10 years customer service experience. I also have history in the banking industry. I am about to start a bootcamp to become a Data Analyst but looking for a new role ASAP. Please let me know if you can help.

Fully remote and looking at a bicostal lifestyle. I’ve found some nice long term furnished places, but where can I find a monthly rental for when I’m not at home base. I’ve looked at Enterprise and it’s roughly 2,000 a month for a compact. If I’m going to pay that, I’ll just lease a Urus for 18 months and save one or two hundred😂

I lateraled into a niche practice group in Sept 2021. I also have a 1 year old and have been mostly remote since I started - but have been keeping busy tracking towards 2400-2500 hours. That said getting to know people only remote has been kind of awkward at times (email only can be tough to decipher) although as a working mom the pros vastly outweigh the cons. Yesterday my main partner asked me to come in Thursday bc he will be there and set a time to meet. Is this good/bad?? kind of nervous!
