I wanted to move and job hop again 2-3 years from now but current job postings I’m seeing for 5-6 YOE of experience are also offering around 150K..

Will I be able to increase my pay significantly 2-3 years from now in technical accounting?

US firms had mid year salary adjustment. Any firm has something similar in Canada?

my sister died this morning. I posted about her in a past post. Alcohol addiction, liver failure and then it taxed the kidneys too much, she went into cardiac arrest at 9 am and they could not save her. She was 51. Sad day for sure. I’m not from an English speaking country but I am watching a tv show and businessmen walk into a room and instead of greeting eachother, everyone says each person’s first name in lieu of hi, however in my experience working in the states, I haven’t seen anyone do this, it’s always hi or good afternoon or some other greeting first THEN they say their first name. is it also appropriate to omit the greeting?
