No
Like you got caught....because you were doing it on purpose? Then yes, you should be.
No, just a mistake because you’re an associate? Most likely not fired, but you will be rightfully made fun of.
Analyst and associates are mostly deadweight, just do what you can to help, ask questions as basic as “why do we do it this way?”, and ask for hat else is there you can do to help out before logging off.
Another thing that has been annoying me that I see a lot of. If there’s a direct comment that needs to be addressed...actually make sure to address it and reply. I’ve seen people not address it at all, address it and then not tell me so I have to take a few moments to find out (a lot for 50 slide deck), and the amazing replying they fixed it but actually didn’t do anything.
I'm a manager and I caught my associate misspelling something that was clearly underlined in red and still got sent to me.
Associate still had a job but doesn't stop me from wondering what the hell kids learn these days if they don't know what the red underline in office means. 😔
You're the associate as in this is yet another straw on the camel's back?
(You're not the associate working with me specifically bc we don't actually call them associates where I am.)
Silly question, but I’ll still make the point that one off mistakes don’t count against you. It’s a pattern of mistakes that produce a bad reputation, and ultimately get you fired. That or fraud.
ready to commit fraud ! JK, but yeah...impostor syndrome got me like, everything I do contributes to a pattern of mistakes so idek

How does one “add wrong” in a world with spreadsheets and calculators?
Chief
Ok well if you’re adding by hand someone should be checking your work. That’s called “QA,” not “getting caught.” If someone thinks ill of you then laa dee daa for them.
fellow associate here and i feel your pain! today i was humbled by failing to distinguish the different shades of grey of misformatted bullet points
hahaha i would not be opposed to making one 😂
