New to freelance after being laid off as a junior. Was promised a month of work at a smaller shop with weekly rate. I’m two days in, and have had ZERO work to do. Will they let me go after this week?

I work in insurance. I was working for an Allstate agent and was fired the day after my grandmothers funeral for being “unenthusiastic in our morning meeting”.
