New to home purchase. Is there a significant tax benefit to having a home office? I have a spare room I can convert into a home office but I usually work out of my bed or a couch.

I rearrange my home office several times a year. Idk why but every 4 months I need to change it up. Anyone else do this?

Home office preference question. I am getting ready to redo the layout of my home office. One option I'm considering would have my desk facing a wall. I am wondering if anyone with this current setup has any feedback about it. I would face the wall so that I would have a better background for video conferences (am on about half the day) and also my cord situation would be cleaner.

Do you all feel that the Health Insurance choice is actually all the same? The coverage is absolutely copy and paste for Bronze to Platinum and the deductible/copay is very similar.
I just don’t understand why we have the illusion of “choice” if the offer is the same and it is really bad (in our case).
Going from $61 per paycheck for 2.5k deductible 75% copay to $500+ per paycheck with 500 deductible 85% copay.

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). Discussion post: I feel almost all consulting firms are the same. Mbb, big 4 etc. if you are paid enough there is probably less wlb. If there is good wlb there is not much money. Can you single out a company that you can confidently say pays very well and also has good wlb and also has good opportunities etc.?
