I wonder if this means they’ll now just file a Senior Perm instead? Asked them but they’re not very responsive.

I started a full time in-house design job that pays extremely well. I barely have to work at all. This makes me very confused since I kept hearing stories of people working 60+ hr weeks as designers at ad agencies. I am not complaining, but I have this creeping irrational feeling that I’ll get fired for not working even though there’s nothing for me to do. Should i be making up projects or asking for more work? Advice pls. We got our greencard and now my spouse can work. My spouse has been unemployed for more than 2 years. And we noted that it is difficult to get more job interviews and get an offer. My spouse is into programming and has Masters Any suggestion how my spouse can increase chances of getting hired (e.g. get training certifications, apply as trainee, or probably you can refer me to companies who are considerate for immigrants). Has anyone had success claiming for unemployment benefits while on H1B? For data point, I’m in NY and I received a request for documents showing work authorization and sent back EAD, SSN, copy of H1B stamp and I797. Case is still processing.

If in your employee handbook states that if you leave within the first year of your green card, you need to pay back all the expenses, but when the green card was initiated, I did not sign anything, can they hold me to it and ask me to pay?
