Amex platinum for flights💯
Chase Sapphire reserve is good. You can transfer points from other chase cards too if you have others. I have like 3 chase cards and transfer all my points to that. 50% more credit on travel (i.e. a point is worth 1.5¢ on chase rewards). Comes with visa signature concierge too, which is a plus. I don't have an Amex but can't go wrong with that I suppose. Cons are they're expensive. Sapphire reserve is like $400 a year or something but you get $300 in reimbursed travel credit and they pay for precheck I think. Or at least they used to.
How do you transfer points from one Chase card to the Sapphire Preferred? I have the Preferred vs Reserve.
I have the Chase sapphire. I’ve always had Chase so I was used to them had a lot of points saved up and great experiences with issues/disputes. Can’t go wrong with the Amex though. Both are the best travel cards. Let me know if you want a referral for Chase 🤪
I really like my venture, it certainly pays for itself but the sapphire does have better transfer partners. IMO platinum, venture, and sapphire all pay for themselves but venture has the biggest bang for your buck. The Amex platinum does offer streaming services, but I don’t use any of them
Amex marriott bonvoy is a moneymaker and absolutely the best IF you can pay hotels with it and take 1 vacay per year
Marriott is always a great consideration! 😉
I have all three of those, mostly use the sapphire and venture when international and platinum when domestic
Most of my travel will be domestic and maybe 2 international
I like the Chase Sapphire Preferred for travel. If you are looking for a card with lounge access, I would go with AmEx Platinum, just know that the annual fee is steep and really only worth it if you are going to be doing a lot of travel spending to take full advantage of the benefits.
Amex platinum is the best. I have Amex Marriott and Amex delta but I made a mistake and should have gotten the Amex platinum instead of the delta card. I don’t regret the Amex Marriott.
Chase Sapphire Reserve I heard is the best alternative from platinum but I would highly recommend learning from my mistake. Do the Amex platinum
If the credits match your lifestyle, it’s definitely worth it.
Is Bank of America Platinum Honors bad? I just have it because they’ve been my bank for a while haha. The rewards seem good to me though. x2 for travel/dining and then x1.75 for platinum honors tier. 1 point = 3.5¢ if I did the math right
I have the chase sapphire preferred, is the entry level of the CSR everyone mentions, has less perks but the anual fee is only 100, just booked a $12k flight for 144k points, roughly 8.3 cents per point. Sign on bonus I think is at 80k, you can transfer points to several partners.
They’ve got great points value for travel options then others. 😌
Honestly the best one is whichever has the best sign up bonus at the time. You can reevaluate after you hit that spend if you want another card for more points and when the year is up if you still want the card. Amex or Chase offer the best flexibility and redemption options for points so I’d recommend them (or Capital One) vs being locked into a specific airline/hotel.
Marriott Bonvoy credit card forever 💛
Amex Platinum of Chase Sapphire Reserve for travel. Then I’d get a hotel card, the Chase Bonvoy is good. I believe Amex has some hotel geared cards, maybe Bonvoy, as well.
Not sure if you can still do it, but I waited for Amex to offer 75,000+ miles if you open a Delta Amex gold card. I kept the gold until the Delta Amex platinum offered the same 75,000+ miles bonus. I opened that and downgraded the gold to a blue, which has no fee. It’s a longer play, but gold and platinum have low fees and about a year later I had nearly 200,000 miles that paid for my honeymoon flight to Rome and then some.
Capital one venture x, pm me if you need referral link
Venture card …capitol one …
I use Hilton by American Express. I use it for free hotel stays rather than flights.
