Hi Fishes,
Many peoples saying product based company will pay more than service based company.
But I think nowadays service based companies are paying more than services based.
Actually Tiaa global business services is product based company but not even ready to match the offer. Before interview they are ready to give package but once interview get cleared they will not ready to pay package based on your expectation.
Hi Fishes, Pls help,
YOE: 13 yrs
Cctc: 13 lpa
Have cleared HCL interview. Initially they offered 23 lpa (via proposed offer letter), but i requested to reconsider it for 25 lpa.
After 5 days, they sent final offer letter of 19 lpa (stating they can offer max 50% as per L4 approval).
Queries:
1. Is this normal or rare case, reducing the offer amount from what quoted initially?
2. Should I accept or negotiate?
I don't have any other offer as of now.

Guys, quit trying to make his/her site the only option. It will only benefit him/her to be prepared for the worst case scenario. Imagine the scenario where the connection fails and he/she expresses, pridefully, that their site should suffice. Guarantee that will be a pain point and not a shining moment. Showing that you are prepared for anything is always a good look.
You reaching out and getting advice shows that you care OP. Keep on pushing to be the best. I hope you get the job.
Thanks so much!
I am an old person with mediocre pdf skills, but I would probably use google slides and then save down as a PDF.
Build it in InDesign with 4-8 samples of the most relevant work for that particular job. Don’t send the same PDF to employers and if you send it to a recruiter like creative circle let them know you’re willing to customize it if they feel you’re qualified for a different job.
Extra points if you make it interactive. If you DM me an email I can show you what I’ve built for myself.
DM'd you. Thanks in advance!
Sorry but that’s not particularly good advice. There is no reputable company in 2019 that doesn’t have the ability to view a website. Stick to your website, and maybe a printed resume at most
Thanks for the helpful advice, fishies!
Been busy, but really wanted to pick your brains, just didn't have time to proofread nor word the question very well.
Just to clarify, it's a recruiter's expo, not an interview. Was told the Wi-Fi there is not always reliable and I need a PDF as a backup.
Full page screen capture via browser plugin and compile into pdf. The only reason they may want a pdf is to safe guard against a poor internet connection.
Gonna go with this method. Thanks!
Maybe there’s a way to get your site to work offline? This happened during a portfolio review at Art Directors Club and everyone ended up using their phones as hotspots.
Great idea. Will look into this.
Who advised you to have a PDF version of your portfolio? I haven’t seen anyone with one once in the industry.
If they’ve brought you in for an interview and ask to look at your book because the conversation is at such a lull...it’s not going well.
Not true. For interns and associate level candidates looking and talking through a portfolio is normal. For them to be nervous and awkward is expected. The portfolio is a bridge to walk them out of that.
