(Not a BigLaw lawyer) Just finished my first year as counsel for a firm. Came from public sector with no book and originated (and collected) a quarter million. Firm fed me little to no work (despite asks) and now seems less than impressed that I didn’t hit “some” number. Also understand others like me aren’t getting fed much work either. Do I bail? What conversation do I need to have to assess whether I’m in the right place?

ZS fish, possible to come in and work 50-55 hours a week? Or should I expect 60+? Interested in firm & work but just can’t keep working from 9-10 every day anymore. Wondering if I should apply or just hang up the hat and go to industry

I resigned Epam Anywhere last week because I am on bench since 2.5 month , package in EPAM Anywhere was 32.40 lpa fixed .

Mastercard- 308000(including 2.80lakhs variable)

I am really confused between these two companies, I heard WLB is very good in Mastercard, but again their salary difference is too much.

I just want to say to the Indian managers / SMs etc. stop taking everything so seriously and stressing people out on your teams. I have had managers who put initiative work so high in importance that it stresses me out about client work. Chill out and stop emailing on weekends. Hang out with your families! Doesn’t mean don’t work hard but chill the heck out people. Clearly this is just a job that doesn’t pay you well enough in the first place why are you stressing other people out too?!

What has better WLB and comp, being a heme onc physician or climbing the ranks of D/SD/VP in R&D or commercial strategy for an oncology line? Not taking into account initial path to get to these positions.

What’s the best way to turn down a 2nd interview? During the 1st interview, I learned that the compensation for the role is not within the range that I am looking for and requires 400 more billable hours a year than what I bill now. Bit of a niche topic: I’ve been in TS/SCI processing for a Science/Tech/Weapons analyst position with the CIA for 3 yrs since I finished grad school in chemistry, but CIA positions are sort of set it and forget it since they can take so long.
