Offer at FSG/Dalberg/Bridgespan with a pay cut. Worth it?

I currently work in the Economic Growth Advisory practice at one of the Big 4, but would eventually want to move into the social/public sector verticals in Mckinsey/BCG.

Would working at one of FSG/Dalberg/Bridgespan significantly improve my chances of getting through to those? Or would an MBA be required regardless. I'm wondering if the pay cut is worth it.

I'm interviewing with KKR for a Principal role in their real estate group. All online salary resources are all in alignment with a total comp of $200k+. I'm assuming based on the average salary reported across these portals for principal that those figures apply to the RE group as well. Anyone have any direct knowledge or can speak to that group's comp?

Does anyone know if principals are in cubicles or doe they get an office?
