Okay so...how do industry jobs compete with public accounting? Considering leaving as a manager in Michigan and controller positions appear to be paying 20 to 30k less than what I make. Also, the positions aren't offering basically anything in terms of benefits (remote work/flex time/pto/parental leave, etc). How do these companies expect to find anyone to fill the positions of these aging accountants that are looking to retire? I just don't see this flying with younger generations...
